Kahls Coffee Calendar 2026 – 24 days of coffee delight in the run-up to Christmas
Let December begin with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a little surprise to look forward to. With the Kahls Coffee Advent Calendar 2026, the countdown to Christmas Eve becomes a journey of discovery through the many flavours of coffee. Behind the calendar’s 24 doors await different varieties of ground coffee – for mornings when the darkness lingers, afternoons that need a warming break, and quiet moments spent together.
Here, fruity and elegant coffees sit alongside richer, dark-roasted varieties. Open today’s door, let the coffee brew and discover what this particular day has to offer. Perhaps you’ll find an unexpected favourite, or perhaps you’ll discover a whole new side to the coffee you love.
An Advent calendar with coffee for two
There’s something particularly lovely about sharing a little everyday ritual. Each door contains 30 grams of ground coffee, intended to be brewed with approximately 500 ml of water. That’s enough for about two generous cups – one for you and one for someone you’d love to sit down with.
Turn your morning coffee into a shared moment before the day’s hustle and bustle, treat a friend to the day’s surprise, or enjoy both cups yourself. This coffee advent calendar is just as suitable for a curious tasting session as it is for a long, leisurely breakfast by candlelight.
The coffee is already ground and ready to brew, so you don’t need a coffee grinder to get started. Open the bag, measure out the water and let the aroma set the tone for the day.
24 coffee varieties to discover, compare and enjoy
Kahls has brought together 24 different coffee varieties from coffee-growing regions around the world in this year’s Advent calendar. This variety gives you the chance to explore different flavours in your cup and discover what you personally appreciate most. Is it the lively fruitiness, the smooth balance or the full-bodied, dark-roasted character that makes you want to take another sip?
The calendar comes with an information booklet featuring flavour descriptions, brewing tips and stories about the coffee’s origins. It will be your companion throughout December, both for those who already enjoy comparing coffee varieties and for those who want to start discovering more.
A lovely way to use the calendar is to first taste the day’s coffee and then read the description. What did you notice yourself? What words would you use? Feel free to make a note of your favourites as you go along and compare them with the person you’re sharing the calendar with. There are no right answers here – let curiosity and the joy of tasting guide you.
Cecilia Pettersson’s illustration pays tribute to the coffee plant
This year’s calendar has been designed in collaboration with Cecilia Pettersson, an illustrator, artist and designer based in Gothenburg. She holds a Master’s degree in design from HDK, from which she graduated in 2009, and specialises in illustration, print and pattern design.
Her creative process often begins with a hand-drawn sketch or painting. Plants, natural structures and small details are recurring elements in her visual world. Her clients include, amongst others, IKEA, Anthropologie and Svenskt Tenn? Her clients include, amongst others, IKEA, Anthropologie and Ferm Living.
For Kahl’s Coffee Calendar 2026, the coffee plant takes centre stage. The motif links the calendar’s content to its origins and serves as a reminder that every cup begins with something that grows. The botanical theme is closely aligned with Cecilia’s own design language and gives the calendar a natural link between illustration and the taste experience.
Feel free to give it a prominent spot by the coffee corner, on the kitchen worktop or on a shelf, where the day’s unopened window serves as a reminder of a moment to look forward to.
Coffee legends and coffee traditions during Advent
Every day of Advent, you’ll also get to discover a coffee legend. These stories add another dimension to the calendar and invite you to take a break where both the coffee and the story behind it take centre stage.
Behind the calendar is Kahls, whose coffee history began in Gothenburg in 1911. With more than a century of coffee tradition behind it, this year’s calendar combines the familiar pleasure of a good cup of coffee with the desire to try something new. It’s a combination that suits December perfectly: traditions to return to and little surprises along the way.
Coffee calendar, Advent calendar or Christmas calendar – a flavourful December tradition
A coffee calendar captures the anticipation of the classic daily reveal and combines it with coffee time. Every day leading up to Christmas Eve offers its own flavour experience, making it easy to try several different coffees in small portions.
Whether you call it a coffee Advent calendar, a Christmas calendar with coffee or simply the tastiest December ritual of the year, the idea is the same: to give every day a moment of joy in discovery. For the coffee lover, opening a door also becomes a little tasting session at home in their own kitchen.
You don’t need to be a coffee connoisseur to appreciate the experience. The calendar is just as suitable for those who enjoy exploring new flavours as it is for those who simply long for a good cup of coffee and a reason to sit back and relax for a while.
A much-appreciated present even before Christmas
Are you looking for a gift for a coffee lover? Kahls’ Coffee Calendar is a thoughtful gift for a partner, parent, friend or colleague – and an early Christmas present that’s perfect for giving before 1 December.
It combines coffee, design and time spent together. The calendar is therefore ideal as an Advent present for someone you’d like to treat to a little extra everyday pleasure. Or let it be your own December treat, with a new variety of coffee to look forward to every morning.
